Bentota

Distance from Wedding Venue: 5 minutes

Bentota, our wedding location, is famous for its golden beaches and water sports. Spend some time relaxing by the beach or, if you're feeling adventurous, try jet skiing or windsurfing. The Bentota River also offers serene boat rides and opportunities to explore nearby mangroves.

THE CULTURAL TRIANGLE

Kandy

Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, is known for its sacred significance as it houses the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which enshrines the relic of Buddha's tooth. The city is surrounded by lush hills and a serene lake, and visitors can explore the Royal Palace, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, and experience traditional Kandyan dance performances. The Kandy Esala Perahera, a grand procession held annually, is one of the most spectacular cultural events in Sri Lanka.

THE EASTERN COAST

Pasikudah

Best time to visit is April to September

Pasikudah is renowned for its calm, shallow waters and stunning sandy beaches. The clear, turquoise water stretches along the coastline, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing in a serene environment. The area remains relatively untouched, offering a peaceful escape with breathtaking views.
